The History…
The biennial School Fair is an OLOR tradition that has spanned many years. It is an event that brings the whole school, parish and local community together to celebrate the many talents and rich cultural tapestry from which OLOR Waitara is formed.
We are immensely proud of the unique sense of community that exists at our school which is fostered by our professional and dedicated staff, our Parents & Friends Association (P&F) as well as the many families who generously give of themselves at events such as this throughout the year.
It is both an opportunity to showcase OLOR’s contributions to the local community, as well as to raise valuable funds needed to maintain the high level of educational and play facilities which our children currently enjoy.
The School Fair has always been a much anticipated event by our children with the promise of carnival rides, sideshow alley games, live entertainment and showboats all with the added bonus of being able to share it with all of their classmates. For adults, the School Fair brings with it a valuable opportunity to spend quality time with your family, time to browse the stalls, while the kids are being entertained and the wonderful experience of meeting other OLOR families in a relaxed and fun environment.
This year our Family Fair will take place on Sunday 27 August from 10.00am to 3.00pm on the oval at the bottom of Yardley Avenue and in The Light of Christ Centre. Join us for a great family day out.
