At OLOR we recognise that Science Education has an essential place in this rapidly changing world we live in.
The teaching and learning of Science and Technology is based on the new NSW Board of Studies K-10 Science syllabus.
Through studying Science and Technology students explore scientific and technological concepts and gain knowledge and understanding of the world. They develop skills in conducting scientific investigations and designing and producing solutions through learning about the Living World, Material World, Physical World, Earth and Space, and Digital Technologies.
Our programs ensure that students engage in learning experiences that involve both scientific and technological content and processes. We encourage students to express their understandings imaginatively and creatively while acquiring a broad range of practical skills.
Students have fun and great learning experiences with topics such as:
- What Keeps Us Alive?
- Backyard Safari
- Exploring Forces
- Space
- Our Changing World
- Coding, Robotics and Energy
- Investigating Micro-organisms
